We want to encourage you to read the Bible. This is how God equips us to live out our faith on this earth! We recommend a Bible called the "Life Application Study Bible." There are various translations of the Bible, and for new believers, we have found the New Living Translation the easiest for people to understand. Connecting with other followers of Jesus is an important part of your faith journey. The way we best do this in our church is through what we call "Life Groups." These are small, informal gatherings that meet in people's homes or backyards. In addition to building relationships, our Life Groups typically discuss highlights from the Pastor's Sunday talk, and go deeper into the Bible verses used in the message. Some groups meet every week, some every other week. We even have special interest Life Groups! We know that we have a group that will fit you perfectly.

Prayer is something you hear people talk about no matter what faith background you come from. Don’t let it intimidate you! It’s simply having a conversation with God. In the Gospels, Jesus showed us how to pray. He also made sure He taught us why we need to pray. Prayer is God’s partnership with you to get done on earth what is in heaven. Start talking to God. Let Him know the things you are grateful for, the things that are concerning you, and the people who need a touch of heaven around their life. The Bible tells us that the effective prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much!

We want to encourage you to listen to songs we sing at our gatherings! We commonly refer to it as worship music. The Bible tells us that we are changed by the renewing of our minds. This worship music is a great way to amplify the greatness of God over the difficulties that may be surrounding you. We often say worship is a weapon; it helps our minds fight the negative and dark thoughts we all battle. As you absorb more worship music, you will find you have a better attitude, more peace, less anxiety, and a ton of gratefulness for all God has done for you.
